It started with a single photo, and a little pot of soil.

Home Is A Greenhouse began in 2020, in Melbourne, with maker Danielle and a simple idea: that the moments we love most shouldn't sit forgotten in a camera roll. They should be somewhere we can see them every day. Somewhere alive.

So she started making personalised plant pots. Each one printed with a photo, a message, a memory, and paired with something growing. A gift you don't just unwrap and shelve, but water, tend, and watch flourish. A gift that grows.

Handmade, in small batches, one story at a time.

Over five years on Etsy, that little idea found its people. More than 400 pots have gone out to homes around the world, each one earning Danielle a five-star reputation and, more importantly, a place in someone's kitchen window, on a desk, beside a bed.

What began as a small shop has grown into something with its own home, right here. But the way we make things hasn't changed. Every pot is still made by hand, in small batches, with real care taken over the details. We're not a factory turning out hundreds of identical pieces. We're one maker, treating your photo and your words the way we'd treat our own.

Because the moment matters as much as the pot.

Behind every order is a story we get to be part of. A dog who's part of the family. A child's very first drawing. An ultrasound that changes everything. A grandparent who deserves to know how loved they are. A pet who's no longer here, but who's never really gone.

We think about those stories as we make each pot. Who it's for, what it's carrying, why it matters. Because a keepsake is only as meaningful as the care that goes into it, and that care is the whole point.
